Discovering Some Remote Jobs in 2024 – Blogstera

remote jobs

In the jobs market, remote jobs are becoming famous. It also affects the way people work. A remote job is one in which we don’t have to go to the office physically. Moreover, this job offers an opportunity for job seekers to work remotely from all over the world. So, anyone can seek these job opportunities to maintain their life and work flexibility. So, if you are thinking about doing your work from home comfortably, these types of jobs are great opportunities for you. Nowadays, more companies are hiring people to work remotely. This allows the companies to hire experts from all over the world.

Overall, many companies are now offering the best remote jobs for accountants, sales representatives, tax experts, web designers, graphics designers, and social media accounts managers. The best thing about these kinds of jobs is that they often come with huge levels of competitive salaries. The salaries can give you financial stability while enjoying working from your own chosen location.

Remote Jobs

Suppose that there’s an engineer in Microsoft, he wakes up in the morning, picks up his bag or laptop, and goes on the way to his office. He works in the office for 8 hours and then comes back to the home. This is called a normal job. Now the question is “What is a remote job?”

What is a Remote Job?

Suppose that there’s a company in Germany. The company operates from Germany but we are working for the company while sitting in India without being present in their office. Just like your work-from-home work in a normal job, remote jobs are likely the same as work-from-home. The company is at some other remote location and you are not present in the office of that company. But you can be present at your location, a co-working space, or a private working space, you are contributing to the code base of that company. We called it a remote job, you are doing remote work.

Here your skills matter the more, here your degree does not matter much. Whatever startup is looking for let’s say they are looking for a front-end engineer. Then if your front-end skills are strong they will be happier than you for the degree. So the skills are greater than the degree there. When we talk about remote jobs here is your GitHub profile in your resume. Whatever projects you have pushed there, they can let you know by looking at the projects that you have done. So if you contribute to open source, then your GitHub profile will look very beautiful. There are a lot of chances of getting selected for a remote job if you are working well on the job.

Top in Demand Remote Jobs in 2024

Now let’s talk about some of the most demanded and high-paying remote jobs that you can start in 2024. The first one on the list and I’m sure there is no surprise here is a software developer.

1. Software Developer

software developer

This is what I do for a living for nine to five and it’s one of those jobs that can be extremely flexible. Pretty much every company needs a software developer. Software developers can set their schedules depending on the company. Maybe there are certain hours that you need to be online but for the most part, you are working independently. Of course, you’re interacting with different designers and quality assurance product managers but you can kind of have the flexibility of setting specific hours.

The average salary for a software developer is around 160,000 US dollars. The total salary package which includes bonus stock and base salary is a medium of 240,000 US dollars but keep in mind that this is the total package, not the base salary. So, as you can see software development is not only a very lucrative career but it’s one of those careers that allows for freedom and flexibility that you can do essentially anywhere in the world as long as you have a computer and wi-fi back to that that’s all we need now.

2. UX Designer Remote Jobs

The next one on the list is UX designer. I am horrible at UX and UI design but I have so much respect for anyone who has a good eye for it. I think it’s so difficult or one of the hardest jobs and that’s clearly because I don’t have the skills for it but it’s a very in-demand job. You know the rate for hiring UX designers is continuing to climb higher and higher. And it’s another job that you can do from absolutely anywhere in the world. Although this job is extremely flexible and something that you can do from essentially anywhere. It does require quite a bit of back and forth between different kinds of people or groups when you are doing research.

The average salary of a UX designer in San Francisco the base salary is once again 160,000 USD. The medium salary package for product designers is 230,000 US dollars. As I just mentioned that is not the base that includes bonus and stock as well but it’s still a very cushy job. I think it’s a really exciting job. So, I think this is a great career path it’s one of those things that you can work for a company or freelance. Both ways have a very successful career.

3. Online Educator

Online Educator

The next one I want to talk about is online education. It’s something that you can do as kind of on the side of what you are doing for your nine-to-five. But also you could do full time and there’s no specific salary cap on it. It depends on what you are teaching and how many courses you are putting out. So, an online educator essentially is teaching different online courses to different viewers. You could be making courses for Udemy, YouTube, or some other really good ones. Udemy is the first one that comes to mind. I have some friends who are software developers and they’ve made the shift to create some courses on Udemy. They get a percentage of whatever courses sell. You know a lot of people who take these courses are done full-time or have it part-time.

I can’t give a specific range in salary because it varies so greatly depending on how much time and effort you are putting in. It is another great option to do from pretty much anywhere in the world. With this one, I think it’s great because it is a more freelance style and you really can set your hours.

4. Quality Assurance

The next job on the list is quality assurance. This can be a quality assurance analyst or manager level. I work with a lot of wonderful people who are based everywhere in the world from India, the States brazil, and so many places. I work with virtually different people who do from different parts of the world. Quality assurance roles can differ depending on what the company is asking for. Essentially, it involves design building, and engineering different testing systems for the software. For example, you might be testing specific parts of a website or mobile app or whatever the software is. This can be done both manually or by building different tests. I have checked on skillcrush.com which is a great resource and their average salary reporting is 74,000. This does not include any bonus stock. It’s just the base salary which is 74,000 US dollars.

5. Product Manager

The next one on the list is the product manager. A product manager essentially is the engine behind a team that keeps a team well-oiled moving forward. Making sure people are held accountable for what they are working on. The client is happy, the product is being built, or there is a lot of responsibility that goes into being a product manager. Product managers have a role in technology that you don’t necessarily have to come from a tech background or have coding or any of that kind of technical skill experience. It’s something though that as you continue to grow in your product manager career it will come that having knowledge. At least a very basic level of knowledge is the key to success for product managers.

The average salary for the product manager is kind of horrible. The base salary based out of San Fran for a product manager is 181,000 US dollars. The medium salary package is 268,000 which includes a 36,000 bonus and a 50 stock grant yearly. So as you can see being a product manager is a wealth of benefits and it has so many different career opportunities that can come your way from it.  I think it’s a great career path if you are someone who wants to get into the tech industry but might not want to be coding or doing the actual technical work.

6. Technical Program Manager

Next on the list is a technical program manager. It is pretty similar to a product manager but what they specialize in is managing the development of the project from beginning to end. Technical program managers are with a project from the very beginning the very first idea the budding idea to the very end of the project. They work closely with the designers and developers but also interact very closely if it’s a client-facing project they will interact with the client quite a bit. The upper management technical program managers must have a strong understanding of the technology capabilities. The average salary of a technical program manager is amazing.

So the base salary for a technical program manager is 195,000. The median salary package is 265,000. The stock grant is 50,000 and the bonus is 20,000 US dollars. The top-paying companies in the sound front area for technical program managers include Airbnb, Uber, Facebook, and Google.

Conclusion

Being able to be flexible, and working from anywhere you know on a beach sounds so nice. I feel like I wouldn’t get anything done but just having that option is nice. I wanted to share with you some of the top-paying remote jobs to hopefully encourage you. This can be possible for you if you are interested in becoming a digital nomad working remotely anywhere in the world. Well, I shouldn’t just say these are some of the top but there are so many more that pay equally if not even higher. These are jobs that you can do from anywhere. Thank you all for reading this article. I hope you find it valuable and inspiring for where you can go with your tech career.
